June 29 is Camera Day!

June 29 is Camera Day because.......nobody knows anymore.

We just take our camera and take it for a walk and afterwards we see what nice pictures we got.

And as the modern days are, we can share all pictures easily with our friends, family and aqcuintaintances.

Did you know the word camera is derived from the word "camera obscura", which means "dark chamber" which refers to the first cameras being boxes with a little pinhole in it through which an image was projected on a screen. In the beginning this was used for fun or for painting. But later someone discovered that you can use some stuff that would color differently when struck by light and then photographics was born.

Sounds complex? Actually our modern camera's are much more complex on the inside But they are generally more userfriendly to handle and that is what counts. No  longer do we need to understand physics and chemistry to develop our pictures. we just push some buttons.

So let's take some pictures of cats and add captions to them afterwards! :-3
